Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking (VNA) is
a kind of selective pallet racking system with a very narrow aisles designed to
reduce the wasted space in picking aisles by using a special VNA truck which
goes through the aisles using a special guide wheels which guides the machine
through its way inside the aisle thanks to the guiding system used
The VNA system provides 100% pallet
selectivity which help to be one of the most effective systems when a warehouse
is dealing with different SKUs at the same time such as Raw Materials
warehouses.
Deposit
and picking locations can designed in a
form of cantilever at beginning of each Aisles so that a normal forklift can
deposit or pick up a pallet from this location
while the turret truck woks inside the VNA service aisle which increases
productivity.
An extra care must be taken when
designing a VNA racking system to the forklift dimensions taking into
consideration the picking aisle width.
Different types of machines can be
used with this system such man down machines or man-up machines.
