Double
deep pallet racking solution is a high density selective racking system which
is similar to the selective pallet racking but this system allows to store two
pallets in depth instead of one pallet in the selective pallet racking
increasing the storage capacity within the same available space taking the
advantage of selectivity provided by the normal selective pallet racking which
makes it a very useful racking solution.
The
racks are designed with nearly double the depth of the selective pallet rack to
accommodate two pallets in depth which mean pallets of the same SKU must be
stored in every location.
A
special forklift lift with a special telescopic fork or a pantograph fork
attachment must be used with this system in order to reach the pallet stored in
the behind.
Double
Deep is a LIFO system which can increase the storage capacity from 10- 15 %
based on the layout design.
